Random Access!!

Hey readers, being on the heights of boredom while coming back from home this time around i wrote the stuff that follows. If you find it quite boring don't blame me coz i had nothing better to do that time, actually. But do comment at the end, it would mean a lot.
Visit to hometown, Lucknow : Feb 25th to March 11th
The salient features of the trip back home are:
1. Holi, the festival of colors has seemingly lost its shine. I could no longer see large groups of people playing extereme holi, as we call it back home. Is it a sign to falling belief over traditions of is its just because the actual inflation (not the WPI measured inflation, courtesy government) is costing serious trouble to the miscellaneous spending of the middle class. From where I see it, it’s probably reasoned to both. As the affluent class gets more affluent, the charm of traditional festivals takes another shape, shifting away from its traditional celebrations and the lower middle class and the lower class people, worst hit by the inflation in food products prices who may even want to celebrate the festival in true traditional spirits find themselves not so deep pocketed to do so.
2 Finally Rahul Mahajan chooses a bride for himself, much to the relief of people like me who had to sit through his swayamvar since it was aired at prime time and mom liked it.
3. India’s poor show at hockey continues. Although they showed some guts in the first game but thereon India chickened out with the stronger teams.
4. Anandi, the so called queen of Indian soaps decided to quit the show and the death scene to exit her caught the eye of the entire nation with the extent that Indian women came on the news shows to show their grief. Interestingly I also happened to glance at a channel that showed a doctor who explained about the possibilities of survival when a person receives a bulletshot on the head, just like Anandi did in the soap.
5. And yes, amidst the drama that unfolded on women’s day ,so called masterminded by the Yadav brothers, the Women reservation bill finally got passed and the gentle sex which claims equality with the men in all walks of like showed its counter face and got reservation in the parliament. I see this as starting juncture of women domination in all fields.
With a nation both officially(Pratibha Patil) and unofficially(Sonia Ji) run by women, and I coming from a state which again is run by a women(Mayawati) and who also aspires to be Prime Minister some day(gosh!!) one can only same that the gentle sex is no longer gentle and is getting more and more empowered with time.
I see a time when this sex will be so empowered that it might not even need man, or putting it better keeping the dogs(men) might just be a choice which might also come with an expiry date. As strange as it may sound, that would ultimately be what we call ”ghor kalyug”
