Of bschools and its pressures

Well its almost been three months into my PGDM and let me tell u its really a demanding course...and that is for various reasons.First, i needed to get away with the last minute preps mode of engg :( coz the evaluations here aren't at the end..infact the end terms carry almost the least weightage among all parameter viz. assignments, quizzes, presentations, class participation, mid terms, etc.
To tell u simply it was nothing less than a torment literally..wat i went thru in the first few dayz....its a breeze of change literally when suddenly u as a fresher are involved in a group activity with people having experience of 5-6 years in the industry and are xpected to give ur inputs and direct the discussions and in a class when u realise that when u know any answer...its almost everyone who does that...and when u dont have a clue with it even then u see a no. of people ready with answers, and when u put in ur best in some quiz and score 80-90% u find that is the class average...with 50% of ur peers securing cent percent....which becomes more visible when u get ur end term CGPA..which easliy rules u out of the top 50% of class.
Moving further u find that VA and communication which was ur strength in CAT seems something which comes naturally to everyone visible in their presentations.
About xtra curriculars u find that almost eveyone is better than u in sports be it Table Tennis, basketball, cricket, vollyball, any thing.I have literally had a tough time in establishing myself as a competitive student with decent xtra currics ...
Of late lady luck has been kind enuff on me..i represented my 1st year team in tug of war on Onam which v won almost very easily and jst today i led my team "GODs" to victory in management game among 13 other teams involving seniors and juniors.I am also doing good in cricket and getting better at table tennis. This has brought a lot of attention on my side and people have started knowing me atleast...My 1st term results wud be out very soon and today writing my first blog in PGDM and i jst wanna thank god,the almighty for all his backend support and jst wish the lady luck showers her blessings on me in future ofcourse with efforts on my side...
cyaa...i'll be back soon with another blog!!!
